Kibbutz Yakum is located in the center of the country on the beach, about 30 km north of Tel Aviv. From the coastal road at 120 km an hour, you can easily miss Kibbutz Yakum hiding behind a shopping complex, gas station and high-tech office complex.

In general, if you ask the founders about the prime location of the kibbutz, some will say that they were severely disappointed when they were informed after eight years of waiting that they had to settle in the swamps near Tel Aviv. Some even dreamed of establishing a kibbutz in the far north, in the south, perhaps close to the border, in a location with more “meaning.”
