Kibbutz Migdal Oz in Gush Etzion is the only religious kibbutz in the country that has both a synagogue and a… church. The remains of a church from the Byzantine period are part of an impressive archeological site in the kibbutz area, “Horbat Brachot”, where, next to the church and rich mosaics, cisterns, mikvahs and hiding caves from various periods were exposed.

Along with the remnants of the past, the kibbutz’s factory, Maoz Industries, integrates with future technologies and produces illuminated panels installed in aircrafts, including the F-18 fighter jet.

And in the present, along with the eastern afternoon wind, the Sharkia, blows in Kibbutz Migdal Oz the spirit of sharing, equality, culture and religious life. The kibbutz has a Torah seminary for girls, which also includes the women’s campus of the Herzog Academic College, preparing its students for teaching.

The kibbutz’s industries include a chicken coop, a dairy farm, crops, a vineyard and fruit packing house.
