A visit to Kibbutz Kfar Etzion, a religious kibbutz located in Gush Etzion, fifteen minutes from Jerusalem and less than an hour from Tel Aviv, involves a powerful encounter with history, heritage, culture, tradition and breathtaking nature. The story of Kibbutz Kfar Etzion – the first settlement in 1943, the fall of the bloc with the establishment of the State of Israel, the many settlers who died and the orphans who returned to establish the kibbutz after the Six Day War – all fill many pages of history and literature.

Visit Kibbutz Kfar Etzion

In an effort to pass on the heritage of Gush Etzion to the general public, the people of Kfar Etzion established a field school that operates an extensive network of guided tours throughout the area and even a sports / mobile navigation route throughout the kibbutz itself. You can also visit the memorial site and heritage Visitors Center where art exhibitions are displayed.

The kibbutz has a guest house that offers rooms and a camping complex. In the east of the kibbutz is a natural forest rich in mountain vegetation where you’ll find the “Song of Songs” reserve with animals that characterize the area. You can also visit artist Yonatan Shalom Avishaul’s silversmith studio.
