An exceptional agricultural tour, which will take you into the story of the southern kibbutz in the world dotted with landscapes of gold, desert and sea.
On the tour, you’ll be invited to travel between breathtaking views of the Red Mountains and Kibbutz Eilot’s palm groves, to hear how a small group of idealists reached Givat Ofer and turned it into a beautiful green oasis overlooking desert landscapes and the Gulf of Eilat.
On the tour, guided by one of the kibbutz veterans, you’ll be invited to hear about extensive agriculture in the desert, to take a close look at the Rabin border terminal and to hear about the special relationship with the Jordanians and how one little girl from Kibbutz Eilot is associated with signing the peace agreement with Jordan!
In addition, you will understand how dates have become the hottest and most worthwhile stock investment in the Arava and of course hear about life in a communal kibbutz in 2019.
The tour ends with fine apple cider alongside tastings from our Majol dates – a local pride!
